in my figurative work, i combine 3d printed elements with wood, metal, acrylic paint and textiles.

 

my sculptures have been described as calm, poetic, whimsical and quirky.

my work is often about limited perception, imposed or self-chosen isolation and the balance between resting stability and change. 

​

despite many years of observation, human behaviour remains a puzzle to me, but provides me with artistic inspiration, as does the process of observing itself.  other influences are comic books, lettering and – although i am not a spiritual person myself – religious works of art.

meine plastiken werden als still, poetisch, skurril und schrullig beschrieben.

 

in meiner arbeit geht es häufig um eingeschränkte wahrnehmung, unfreiwillige oder selbstgewählte isolation sowie um die balance zwischen stillstand und veränderung.

 

trotz langjähriger beobachtung bleibt mir menschliches verhalten ein rätsel, das sich vermutlich nicht lösen wird, mir aber künstlerische inspiration liefert. weitere einflüsse sind comics, schriftgestaltung und – obwohl ich selbst kein spiritueller Mensch bin – religiöse kunstwerke.
